Arty Party is an annual art auction for BAO.  Each year hundreds of artists and collectors donate art for the event.
There will be over 200 pieces of art at this year's event.  Most of the art will be in a silent auction and ten to fifteen
pieces will be featured in a live auction.  Art lovers can find awesome pieces of art at ever price range.  Guests will see
mixed media, acryllic, sculpture, photography, and more.  Admission is $50 per person and includes heavy hors
d'oeuvres, complimentary wine, and cash bar.  BAO friends who doante art for the event will receive complimentary
admission.

Each Arty Party has one featured artist and honorary chairs.  The Arty Party Committee is excited to bring back Nall as
this year's featured artist.  Nall was one of the first Arty Party featured artists nearly 20 years ago, and has graciously
accepted our invitation to return in 2014.  This year's honorary chairs are Paul Billings and John Hurley.  Paul and John
have been involved with BAO for many years, serving as board members, committee members, and volunteers.  They
are truly an asset not only to BAO, but the Birmingham community, as well.  The Arty Party Committee and BAO Board
of Directors are thrilled to honor Paul and John in 2014.  We are excited to bring back Nall as this year's featured artist.
Meet Nall
Nall is an internationally known artist from Alabama.  He has studios in Fairhope, Monaco, and Venice
with pieces in permanent collection at the Pompidou Center in Paris, as well as other major museums.
His clients include Prince Albert of Monaco, Catherine Deneuve, and Ringo Starr, among others.
Nall has curated works in Renaissance Marriot Hotels throughout Alabama, where he strives to give
visitors a better understanding of the state's culture through its art.

This year's Arty Party featured art by Nall is "A Dangerous Fly", pictured above.  The beautiful
Dogwood symbolizes the human spirit with the "Dangerous Fly" representing negative energies that are
attracted to such beauty.  One can be reminded of our fight against HIV and AIDS with this striking
piece.
Want To Donate Art?

Twenty-three years of Arty Party would not be possible without the generous, awesome, and wonderful artists and
collectors who donate each year.  All types of art are welcome and appreciated at BAO's Arty Party.  Please consider
donating art for the 23rd Annual Arty Party this year.  Guests who donate art to Arty Party will receive complimentary
admission to Arty Party plus a gift from Forstall Art Center and Salon Centric.  Art donors are also invited to the VIP
Artist Reception sponsored by Dr. and Mrs. Zarzaur of ArtEyes in English Village.  The Artist Reception will be
Thursday 1 May 2014, 5.00PM - 7.00PM.

Art donations may be delivered to Birmingham AIDS Outreach during regular office hours.  If you need to arrange a
special time, or if you need your art donation to be picked up, please contact
jamie@birminghamaidsoutreach.org.

All artists who donate to BAO's Arty Party will receive an official Thank You Letter, which can be used for tax
purposes.  Donation forms are available at BAO.  Arty Party Committee Members also have donation forms.
